I never liked Lambo doors, they were useful for certain cars, but became overplayed even on supercars , which is saying a lot.

Despite this... I'll be completely honest...

I can't wait for Koenigsegg's patent to run out and we can start seeing these systems on all sorts of cars. It's brilliant.

My Grandpa was going to put these on his 86, he claims he has trouble getting in and out of the coupe doors. He is 86 years old.

I told him he'd just look like a tool.

Probably won't see it on many cars, due to the fact the Koenigsegg's doors are less practical then the Lambo ones. I am sure there will be an aftermarket kit though. Then these will become overplayed. . . it is just a vicious cycle.

They're practical in the sense that they have the same wide opening as a lambo door, but the whole mechanism weighs less than a traditional hinge and doesn't compromise the chassis as much. That being said, aftermarket kits will probably completely ignore this benefit.
